Class Topics
Each term we have a new topic to explore. The topics will cover the 6 Areas of Learning Experience.

Summer Term Overview
The Survival Game
Our topic for the summer term is 'The Survival Game' and the focus for this will be developing an understanding of what living things need to stay alive and healthy.
Throughout the topic we will be learning:
- About living and non-living things and how to sort them
- About minibeasts and the habitats in which they live
- How plants grow and what they need to survive (water, light, soil)
- To name and label basic body parts
- How to keep their bodies and minds healthy
Home Learning Tasks
Reading books and Home Learning tasks (where appropriate) will be given out on a Friday and are to be returned by the following Wednesday – unless specified otherwise.
In Dosbarth Draig we have two class mascots Doli and Dewi. Each week during our Seren Yr Wythnos assembly pupils who have tried hard to speak Welsh during the week are awarded by receiving a certificate and taking home one of our mascots.
Their challenge is to record themselves with their family practising the Welsh phrases in the pack.
