Class Topics
Each term we have a new topic to explore. The topics will cover the 6 Areas of Learning Experience.

Autumn Term Overview
dosbarth-draig
Our topic for the Autumn term is 'Escape to the Chateau' and our focus for this will be Castles, castle life and dragons.
Throughout the topic we will be learning:
- What a castle is and exploring different castles in Wales
- About people who lived and worked in castles
- How to explore materials for strength to build a castle
- About different light sources
- How to move like dragons
- To explore and retell Welsh myths and legends linked to dragons
Home Learning Tasks
Reading books and Home Learning tasks (where appropriate) will be given out on a Friday and are to be returned by the following Wednesday - unless specified otherwise.
In Dosbarth Draig we have two class mascots Doli and Dewi. Each week during our Seren Yr Wythnos assembly pupils who have tried hard to speak Welsh during the week are awarded by receiving a certificate and taking home one of our mascots.
Their challenge is to record themselves with their family practising the Welsh phrases in the pack.
